# Chandeliers and brass: the return of splendour

For ten years, the ideal room was white, empty and lit from the ceiling. The pendulum has swung. Chandeliers are back, brass is polished again, and light comes from many small sources instead of one.

The new splendour is not about excess. It is about warmth: a room that glows in the evening, metal that catches the light, a sense that someone took care.
