A weekend in Paris, one arrondissement at a time

Forget the checklist. Pick one neighbourhood, learn its rhythm, and let the city come to you.

The mistake most visitors make in Paris is trying to see it all. The city rewards the opposite: choose one arrondissement, stay in it, and let its rhythm become yours for a weekend.

We chose the Marais. Coffee at the same counter every morning, the same bakery for the evening bread, a small museum on Saturday and a long, unplanned walk on Sunday. By the second day, the waiter remembered our order.

Paris is not a list of monuments. It is a collection of villages, and the best way to know it is to belong to one, even for two days.
